Anti-Violence Network (AVN) AVN Website
The AVN is a group of students, staff and faculty who, since March 1997, have met to share concerns, offer support and coordinate efforts against violence on campus including the annual solidarity event Mac Supports Take Back the Night and International Women’s Day.
McMaster Accessiblity Council (MAC) Learn More
MAC serves as the governing body for accessibility issues on campus, and is responsibile for ensuring the University’s adherence to the AODA Accessibility Standards. The Council is comprised of senior administrators, including Vice-Presidents and Directors from various sectors of the University.
Membership of the Council is restricted to senior officers of the University. Consultants from the Office of Human Rights & Equity Services, Student Accessibility Services and Human Resources, also attend MAC and form the MAC Working Group.
President's Advisory Committee on Building an Inclusive Community (PACBIC) PACBIC Website
The mandate of PACBIC is to identify and anticipate issues affecting equity-seeking communities, both within the University and relevant to those seeking access to the University, and advises the President on such issues. Its membership is comprised of representatives from undergraduate and graduate student populations, as well as from faculty, staff and senior administration. The Equity Services Program (ESP) of the Equity and Inclusion Office provides administrative support to PACBIC and to its working groups.
