Men’s Walk: Monday December 6, 2021, 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Every year on December 6, the men’s walk takes place at McMaster University for staff, faculty, and students as part of a larger set of programming for the National Day of Action and Remembrance on Violence Against Women. It is an opportunity for men on campus to reflect on our unique role in working to end gender-based violence.
We invite men to join us on a tour around campus to four memorial sites. At each stop along the walk, one man takes a rose, places it at the memorial site, and shares a few words. It is a time for us as men to reflect on allyship, on the women and trans folks we have learned from in this work, and why we have come to the walk. Each stop is ended with a moment of silence.
